COMMITMENT TO OUR COMMUNITIES

CGC’s approach repurposes existing oil and gas industry participants and creates new opportunities for workers and communities historically reliant on fossil fuels. This lowers costs while providing high-quality jobs in the emerging carbon management sector. This means good-paying jobs, stronger local economies, and a competitive edge for American energy leadership.

America’s energy workers built the industries that power this country. Instead of shutting down infrastructure and eliminating jobs, we are leveraging America’s existing energy assets and skilled workforce to lead in carbon management.

These large workforces are important and should not be left behind while we transition away from fossil fuels. We enable manufacturing industries and the jobs they support to continue, as well as create new jobs.

A unique aspect of CGC’s approach is that the industry sectors that have added carbon to the atmosphere employ the people and the equipment we need to put carbon back into the ground.

We need people who have produced energy from fossil fuels. They have the skills and knowledge necessary to put carbon back where it belongs, in the ground.

As a result, the people and communities that otherwise would be at risk of being left behind are part of the energy transition.
